Halabja Chamber
The Chairman of the Halabja Chamber of Commerce and Industry recently participated in the routine session of the Iraqi Federation of Chambers of Commerce, marking a significant momentous following the Halabja Chamber’s official acceptance into the Federation on May 16, 2024. Mr. Taher Ezzalddin, leading the Halabja Chamber, made his inaugural appearance at the Iraqi Federation Chambers’ gathering in Baghdad.
Welcoming Mr. Taher warmly, Mr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Zuhairi, President of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce (FICC), extended his greetings. Furthermore, heads of other Iraqi chambers conveyed their well-wishes for the success of the Halabja Chamber. Notably, representatives from the Kurdistan region’s Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, and Duhok Chambers showed solidarity, endorsing Halabja’s membership and offering their support.
In a speech representing the Administrative Council, business community, and residents of Halabja, the Chairman of the Halabja Chamber expressed gratitude for the recognition and expressed hope for advanced official acknowledgment of Halabja’s governorate by the Iraqi government. This acknowledgment is anticipated to catalyze development across various sectors within the Halabja governorate.
