Halabja Chamber
On Monday, October 14, 2024, a delegation from the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Kurdistan Region, led by Dr. Mohammed Shahab, Supervisor of the Federation, visited the Iraqi Federation of Industrialists. The delegation included Mr. Tahir Ezaalddin Mohammed, Chairman of the Halabja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, along with the Chairmen of the Sulaimani, Erbil, and Duhok Chambers of Commerce and Industry. They were welcomed by Mr. Adil Okab, Head of the Iraqi Federation of Industrialists.
During the discussions, Mr. Tahir Ezaalddin Mohammed highlighted the challenges faced by factories in the Kurdistan Region, emphasizing the need for equitable rights and benefits for regional factories, similar to those of Iraqi factories. He called for collaborative efforts to address and resolve these issues effectively.
In response, Mr. Adil Okab expressed his willingness to support the demands and proposed the formation of a joint committee to deal with the challenges and resolve the concerns raised.
This meeting represents a significant step toward fostering stronger collaboration and supporting industrial development across the region.
