Halabja Chamber of Commerce and Industry is an independent, nongovernmental and legal organization, which is considered as a reliable association for traders, manufacturers and company owners and it works and reassures the benefits of traders. Also, HCCI considers all its member’s rights and defends them in away that it would benefit all the society.
The HCCI was established on July 24, 2019 in an honorable ceremony in the Governorate Office of Halabja, it was attended by:
- Dara Jalil Khayat, Chairman of the Kurdistan Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
- Sirwan Mohammed, Chairman of Sulaimani Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- Azad Tofiq, Governor of Halabja
- Kawa Ali, Vice Governor of Halabja
- Nukhsha Nasih, Mayor of Halabja.
Also, a number of members from Sulaimani Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hawler Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Halabja Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In this ceremony, Mr. Peshawa Ahmed Mahmood was elected as Chairman of HCCI, Mr. Sardar Ameen Fatah as First Deputy Chairman, Mr. Bestun Karim Ahmed as Second Deputy Chairman. Plus, the Board Members consist of 9 official members and 3 unofficial members.
Halabja Chamber of Commerce is now justified as one of the four chambers that construct the Kurdistan Union of Chambers of Commerce, which are Hawler, Sulaimany, Duhok, and Halabja.
Union of Chambers of Commerce was established on February 3rd, 2007, and KRG council of ministers is the general supervisor and advisor.
